The 50% discount will not drop the total price by 50% because it only applies to the base fare. More expensive fares will see a larger percentage discount on the total price. But cheaper fares can still get a little bit cheaper.

Fees
Frontier now follows the ultra-low-cost, fee-for-everything model.
Seat selection costs $4+. They’ll assign you a seat at check in for free, but you’ll probably get the worst one.
Only a personal item is free to bring on board. Checked bags cost $20+ and carry ons cost $30+, so I would think of these fares as costing $20 more each way and plan on checking a bag.
