Trip Report: Puglia (Apulia) Italy Part III

At the conclusion of June I rented a car and drove south down the Adriatic coast of Italy. In English, the region I explored is called Apulia.

$280 Non-Stop Roundtrips from Newark to Rome

I tweeted this deal first from @MileValueAlerts. Follow @MileValueAlerts on Twitter and follow these directions to get a text message every time I tweet from that account. I tweet from @MileValueAlerts only a few times a month because it is designed to be used only for the best and most limited-time deals–like mistake fares–so that you aren’t bombarded by text messages.

Right now you can book a roundtrip in economy between Newark (EWR) and Rome (FCO) for $280 for travel November through March, 2018 on Norwegian Air.

Trip Report: Puglia (Apulia) Italy Part II

At the conclusion of June I rented a car and drove south down the Adriatic coast of Italy. In English, the region I explored is called Apulia. Italians call it Puglia.

The region's white washed ancient architecture, sprawling groves of olive trees dotted with repurposed farm houses, cliff and rock formations, sandy white beaches, and abundant produce alchemize to form a truly enchanting atmosphere.

The Cheapest You Will See Alaska Miles On Sale (50% Bonus)

Through October 5, 2017 at 11:59 PM ET, you can buy Alaska Airlines miles with up to a 50% bonus. It is a targeted offer, but it looks to be pretty widespread from what I can see. Log in to your account through this link to see your offer.

The current bonus is as high as we've ever seen it--don't expect to buy Alaska miles cheaper than this (if you are indeed targeted for the 50% bonus).
How the Bonus Works
The sale is structured as a bonus on the normal number of miles you’d receive.

The bonus

Rent a Car One Way for $5 a Day

This fall and winter, Dollar, Hertz, and Thrifty are offering dirt cheap daily rates on their rental cars as in incentive for you to drive their stock south for them. You can find cars for as little as $5 a day with pick up locations at airports along the east coast and drop off destinations in Florida.

At five dollars a day, you could rent a car for a whole week for just $35, or up to two weeks for $70! That is unbeatable.
The Deal
When it gets cold up north, people stop renting cars.

New Citi ThankYou Points Transfer Partner: Turkish Airlines

You can now transfer ThankYou Points earned by your Citi Prestige, ThankYou Premier, ThankYou Preferred, Citi Chairman, or Citi Forward card to Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles frequent flyer program at a rate of 1:1.

That means ThankYou Points now transfer to 14 airlines and one hotel loyalty program.

The only partners that don't normally have a 1:1 transfer rate are Hilton (1:1.5) and Jetblue (1:.5).

ThankYou Premier 50k Bonus Changing Tomorrow

The Citi ThankYou Premier Card currently has an offer of 50,000 bonus ThankYou Points after $4,000 in purchases within the first three months of account opening.

According to One Mile at a Time, that sign up bonus is changing tomorrow, August 22. This is not shocking considering that, for the majority of 2016, the ThankYou Premier had no sign up bonus whatsoever. Then in December of 2016, Citi came back with 40k points for a $3k minimum spending requirement bonus.

Largest Hotel Point to Aeroplan Transfer Bonus Ever Ends Tomorrow

Aeroplan's 30% bonus for transferring hotel points ends tomorrow night. If you have a stash of SPG or Marriott points, read this post to see if taking advantage of the bonus makes sense for your travel plans.

Through August 21 (11:59 ET), 2017, Aeroplan is offering the biggest bonus on record at the moment for transferring hotel points to Aeroplan miles. It's also not a tiered bonus like the others in the past have been. Transferring any amount will earn the advertised 35% bonus.

Trip Report: Puglia (Apulia) Italy Part I

At the conclusion of June I rented a car and drove south down the Adriatic coast of Italy. In English, the region I explored is called Apulia, also known as Puglia.

I started traveling around Europe in late May and had plans through mid June that took me from Spain, to Portugal, Ireland, and then finally Rome. I asked your advice for a two week hole in my agenda after Rome and before Norway, and those of you that mentioned Italy recommended the Amalfi coast and/or Cinque Terre.

How to Get Approved for Business Cards

Applying for business credit and charge cards is a great way to earn more miles and points than you already do, but many people don’t apply for business cards because they incorrectly believe they don’t qualify.
Do you qualify for a business card?
Myth #1: A business must have employees.

Your business can be a sole proprietorship, meaning only you work on the business. That’s how MileValue started, just Scott, and he has received several business cards for MileValue.
