Garrett, a generous reader, has donated a Hyatt Platinum Extras Certificate. I called Hyatt to ask about it and was told that the certificate is non-transferable, but I suspect any Hyatt Platinum will be able to use the certificate.

There is a space on the certificate to write in your information including Hyatt number. No personal information is printed on the certificate, meaning that if it really is supposed to be non-transferable, there is no way for Hyatt to know who received it–only who is redeeming it.

The certificate expires September 30, 2012 and is redeemed by presenting it at check in. That means you must have a check in planned by 9/30 to get use from this certificate.

If you are a Hyatt Platinum and have a stay planned before 9/30, this certificate would entitle you to:

A Complimentary Food and Beverage Amenity at check in

1,000 Bonus Hyatt Points for Dining

Regency or Grand Club Upgrade (USA and Canada only)

Complimentary Beverage (Hyatt Place or Hyatt House)

If you can make use of this certificate, comment on this post. From the comments, I will select a winner at 6 AM ET on 9/8. The certificate will be mailed to you.

Hopefully someone can make use of this certificate. If you have something you can’t use and want to give away to a fellow traveler, contact me at [this domain]@gmail.com.
