Some folks who type their information into the Card Match tool are getting offers for the:

  • American Express Platinum with 100,000 bonus Membership Rewards after spending $3,000 in the first three months
  • American Express Premier Rewards Gold with 50,000 bonus Membership Rewards after spending $1,000 in the first three months
  • Amex Everyday Preferred Credit Card with 30,000 bonus Membership Rewards after spending $2,000 in the first three months.

Hat Tip The Points Guy and View from the Wing

Head to the Card Match tool, and you’ll find out if you’re matched in just a few seconds. Although it asks for your Social Security Number, the tool does not generate a hard credit pull, and creditcards.com is a large and reputable site.

It appears that very few people are being targeted, leading to a lot of angry people in the FlyerTalk thread discussing the deal. From that thread I learned that some people are being targeted for the 100k offer, but if you are not targeted and try to change the online application to your name and information, you will get an error when you try to submit the application. From the comments on The Points Guy’s thread, I’ve learned that calling American Express and asking for the 100k offer doesn’t work.

Bottom Line

You probably aren’t targeted for three amazing American Express offers by the Card Match tool, but why not take a few seconds to find out if you are.
