Are you spontaneous? Do you live in Charlotte, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Kansas City, Fort Myers, Newark, Tampa, Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, Columbia, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, San Diego, or Palm Springs? Do you have a US Airways Mastercard?

This weekend only, US Airways is offering 10,000 mile roundtrip awards between a few select city pairs, specifically:

If you depart today or Saturday and return Sunday or Monday, you can have a quick escape for 10k miles using the discount code WI121012.

To book, sign in to your US Airways account and then go to the advanced search page. Type in your qualifying city pair and the code into the eCertificate box.

The search results should show wide-open availability. And there should be stars next to the availability that says 12,500 miles and $15 in the Coach Low column.

Select an outbound and a return from that column, and you will be shown a price of 15k miles and $30. If you also have US Airways Mastercard, you will get a further 5k discount to 10k miles and $30 for a roundtrip.

Here are the full terms and conditions.

Although the chart says the flights must be From the US Airways hubs, I searched for flights in reverse (like Tampa to Charlotte roundtrip) and found the same discounted price.

This deal is Avios-esque in its low prices for short, direct, last-second flights. This is a better deal than we ever see from the legacy carriers which would normally charge 25k miles and $80 for last-second trips like this.

Let us know if you book one. I wish I lived in one of the on-sale cities because nothing beats a spontaneous vacation.
