On March 31, 2021, Alaska Airlines officially joined the Oneworld airline alliance. Oneworld now has 14 member airlines with a fantastic global reach and includes some of the top-rated airlines in the world such as Cathay Pacific and Qatar. 

So what exactly does this mean for travelers? So far we’ve only seen the good news.

Iberia, flag carrier of Spain, just announced a new seasonal route between Madrid and San Francisco that will operate between April 25 and September 28, 2018.

Iberia currently flies to Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and New York City. Out of those destinations, Boston and Los Angeles are seasonal.

During peak travel season (spring/summer), this is what Iberia's US route map will look like:
