Singapore Airlines is in the Star Alliance. Aside from redeeming Singapore miles on their own world renowned premium cabins, you can also redeem their miles on any Star Alliance carrier like United. This is especially helpful to those of us locked out of earning United miles because of that pesky Chase 5/24 rule.
Easy to Earn
Singapore miles are some of the easiest miles to accrue that exist. Singapore Krisflyer is a 1:1 transfer partner of all four major transferrable point programs:

- American Express Membership Rewards
- Citi ThankYou Points
- American Express Starwood Preferred Guest Starpoints (from SPG they transfer 1: 1.25 if you transfer in 20k increments)

Cheap / Free Award Service Fees
You can alter the date, flight, route, or carrier of a Singapore award for only $20 as long as it’s more than 24 hours in advance. Not to mention they don’t charge a close-in booking fee. Other airlines will really gouge you in that department.
