My favorite country–Peru–is on sale!

JetBlue is launching a new Fort Lauderdale to Lima route November 21, marking JetBlue’s first foray into the Southern Hemisphere. To drum up business for the route, JetBlue is selling oneway flights for $139. A roundtrip is $302.

All JetBlue’s newly announced routes are on sale through May 3.

The Lima route has most days in December at the low advertised prices.

The return has fewer days available.

Combining two of the cheap fares costs $302 all in or 14,800 JetBlue points plus $60.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that you can’t get the deal from any city other than Fort Lauderdale or any time period other than 11/21/13 to 12/19/13.

December is a lovely time to visit Peru, and I’ve written about the Top Ten things to do, eat, and see in my favorite country to visit.

Top Ten Things to Do, See, and Eat in Peru: Honorable Mentinos and 10 Through 8

Top Ten: 7 and 6

Top Ten: 5 and 4

Top Ten: 3 and 2

Top Ten: #1 Machu Picchu

Check out the rest of the newly announced routes for other deals. I absolutely love flying JetBlue because every seat has as much leg room as United Economy Plus, there is free live TV at every seat, and you get one free checked bag each flight.

Earn 60,000 bonus points after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

Just getting started in the world of points and miles? The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for you to start with.

With a bonus of 60,000 points after $4,000 spend in the first 3 months, 5x points on travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal and 3x points on restaurants, streaming services, and online groceries (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs), this card truly cannot be beat for getting started!
