Travel from Houston to Amsterdam this fall roundtrip for $250 on AeroMexico. The fares are valid for select dates in October and November 2016. This is a mistake fare in the sense that the ticket is pricing without fuel surcharges. That means:
- Book the flights now, but lay off hotel or tour bookings until at least a few weeks pass because AeroMexico may try to cancel these tickets
- There may be other departure and arrival cities with similar prices. Search for your own. My searching would limit how quickly this post goes up, which would be a problem since this deal will last only minutes or hours.

$250 Roundtrip from Houston to Amsterdam
I found some $274 fares on Kayak, but these fares for 171 British Pounds ($250) are a little better.
Mileage Earning
These should earn some Delta miles, but I don’t see the fare class, so I don’t see how many. Consider that gravy on top of a $250 roundtrip to Europe.
Baggage Allowance
You get a free personal item, free carry on, and two free checked bags up to 50 pounds each included in the ticket price.

FYI the Fare Class is “V,” so for Delta SkyMiles Members that means they will earn 50% of miles flown as redeemable miles and 100% Medallion Qualification Miles.
On an IAH-MEX-AMS-MEX-IAH route that works out to the following:

Medallion Qualification Miles (MQM’s): 20,436

Why call it a “mistake fare”?
Because it is, and I want my readers to know when it is a mistake and when it is intentionally cheap.
And, clearly, you want the airlines to know that too, in turn making it much easier for them to cancel tickets booked. If you’re big on informing your readers then they should also be aware of how you’re doing them a disservice: https://www.transportation.gov/sites/dot.gov/files/docs/eo_2015-11-3.pdf. In particular “American believes that the proliferation of social media sites publicizing mistake fares has
resulted in individuals purchasing mistaken fare tickets in bad faith, and not on the honest belief
that a good deal was available. American contends that DOT regulations and guidance should
not be used to reward consumers who purchase mistake fares in bad faith”. In simple terms, call it a mistake fare, as you repeatedly do, and you fall right into the airlines’ hands.
